Five programs, built to connect rather than sit in silos
Most people who reach us are carrying more than one thing at once. A person with disability who is also facing housing instability. A newly arrived family navigating both the school system and a child protection process. Our programs are designed to hand people between each other rather than send them back to the start.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH SERVICES
Safe, nurturing and stable homes for children in care
A safe, nurturing and stable environment for children and young people under the guardianship or custody of the Department for Child Protection, through residential care and specialised children's services.
NAWIRI FAMILY CONNECT
Strengthening families, protecting children, building futures
Early intervention and practical family support, working alongside parents before things reach crisis point.
NAWIRI HOMEWARD BOUND
Meeting people where they are, walking with them toward home
Street outreach, case management and tenancy support for people sleeping rough or at risk of losing housing.
NAWIRI COMMUNITY BRIDGES
Building bridges between communities and the support they deserve
Navigation and settlement support for migrant and refugee communities, delivered in community languages and community spaces.
NAWIRI ELDERCONNECT
Because belonging has no age limit
Social groups, volunteer befriending and home visits for older people living alone, in their own language where it matters.
HOW WE WORK
Four principles under every program

Person-centred
Every program starts with the individual. Their goals, their strengths, their culture, their circumstances. Not a service menu they have to fit themselves into.

Culturally responsive
Cultural safety is not a feature we added. It is the design principle the organisation was built on, reflected in our name, our staff, our advisory committees and our program design.

Trauma-informed
Every program recognises what trauma does to people and how it shapes the way they meet services. We work in a way that does not repeat the harm.

Integrated
ur programs talk to each other and to a wider network of services, so support wraps around a person instead of arriving in disconnected pieces.
